Extreme Q Vaporizer Review

If you’re unfamiliar with the Extreme Q by Arizer, a desktop or plugin vaporizer with a multitude of features, you’re really missing out and in this review, we’re going to tell you why.

The “Q” is a plugin vape, which means you need an electrical outlet handy in order to use. But wait, you don’t actually need an electrical outlet nearby because there’s an accessory that will let you use it on the go: the Extreme Q battery pack. But to be realistic, having a battery pack accessory doesn’t really make it a portable because at the end of the day, it’s just too big to carry around in your pocket. However, as it is something that you could stuff into a backpack, the battery pack makes it an awesome vaporizer to bring on a camping trip. But enough of its portability or lack of, we’re going to tell you what’s really up with this popular vape, both the good and the bad.

Extreme vaporizers, which are made by Canada’s Arizer company, offer something that a lot of plugins don’t: a whip and a bag. A whip is, for those that don’t know, a tube or hose that’s used to deliver vapor. This is a somewhat standard approach made popular by the early vaporizers that were introduced into the market. But in the post Volcano Vaporizer world that we now live in, the bag, also known as a balloon, system has become quite popular and Arizer has obviously taken this into account as their Extreme Q vaporizers incorporate everything you need to fill a bag with vapor. But does it work as well as a Volcano? In short, no. It works great, but what really makes the Volcano’s system convenient and incredible is that it employs a mouthpiece that doubles a valve, which makes it easy to simply press the mouthpiece against your lips when you’re ready to take a puff and in a natural fashion, the valve opens up as you press it against your mouth. Unfortunately, the Q’s bag system doesn’t incorporate the innovative mouthpiece valve combo that makes Volcano vaporizers so easy to use, but at the end of the day, it still works.

While its bag delivery method doesn’t quite stand up to the likes of Storz & Bickel’s Volcano, its whip delivery method is on par with the best. What really makes it worthwhile to us is the fact that you can easily acquire an extended whip that’s long enough for us to relax comfortably and pass it around without having to move the unit itself. Having a long whip also adds to the vapor’s ability to cool before it reaches the user. But what we really like about it is that it works and it works well. It delivers potent, tasty vapor on demand and that’s all we’re really asking for.

The Q has a digital temperature control system equipped with an LED display that makes it easy to dial the temperature in, which is something that we can’t say for all the desktop vapes we’ve tested. While this precision temperature control system is great, what we really like about the digital aspect of it is that it allows you to set the fan speed. While there are three fan speeds to choose from, we prefer the lowest setting as it tends to provide denser vapor the other two settings, which we tend to find preferable for the most part.

It’s also great for aromatherapy, as it comes with an aromatherapy bowl that is specifically designed for you to vaporize your favorite aromatherapy blends. You simply load it up and turn it on as your normally would, allowing you to fill your home or office with the fragrance of your choosing.

And if making the air around you pleasant wasn’t enough to elevate your mood, it also offers a cool looking blue glow that emanates from underneath. When you turn the lights off and activate the blue light underneath the Q, it really sets the mood.

For the lazy and the convenience-oriented, Arizer decided to throw in a remote control that lets you control the Q from a distance. You can use it to turn the power on and off, change the fan speed, and adjust the temperature. While it might not seem like much, it’s a nice addition to already incredible machine.

The Extreme Q, which uses passive convection to vape, and its wide range of features might give you the impression that it’s a costly vape to buy, but in reality, it’s actually quite the bargain. For all that it entails, it’s surprisingly inexpensive and that’s one of the reasons why we absolutely love this vape. Not only does it have a remote, digital temperature control, multiple fan speeds, and support for balloons, whips, and ambient vaporization, it’s surprisingly affordable.

Between all of the features that it offers, you might overlook the real question here: how well does it vape? When we first turned it on, we noticed a strange odor coming from it. As we do with all new vapes, we decided to heat cycle it by running it at the highest temperature setting for a while – until the odor was gone. We assume that this odor we noticed the first time we turned it on came as the result of the manufacturing process because it’s not uncommon for new vapes to have some oils leftover from the manufacturing process. But the good part is, after some heat cycling, the smell completely disappeared. Once the smell was gone and we started using it, we were quickly impressed with the quality of the vapor. Not only does it taste good, it’s surprisingly dense when we want it to be.

All things considered, the Q is one of the best vaporizers for the money. It tastes great, has more options than we know what to do with, and it’s incredibly affordable. So if you’re looking for a cheap vape that works well and does it all, look no further, the Q is what you want. If you want to pick one up for yourself, we suggest you buy it from this online store and prepare to be impressed.
